What Is Infodumplings?
Welcome to Infodumplings — the weekly stage where neurodivergent and disabled folks step into the spotlight and let their zoomies run wild. Bring your special interests, your late-night rabbit holes, your “I know way too much about this” moments — this is the room built for exactly that. No polish required, no gatekeeping allowed.
Every interest gets a seat at this table, no matter how niche. This is a community-run show, built by and for the people who show up to it. Feel free to bounce between a few special interests, or focus on one if that’s cozier.
You don’t need credentials. You don’t need a polished presentation or run of show. You just need something that’s been living in your head rent-free — bring it, and let’s dig in together.
And if stepping into the spotlight isn’t your thing, that’s completely fine! We’re all here to support each other — so bring your topic anyway, and please let us know if you’d rather have someone else run the show for you, or share the stage with you.
Having a special interest is like having a crush or being newly in love. It is consuming and delightful. We love to share our special interests and a common example of autistic empathy is encouraging others to talk in great detail — “infodump” — about their SpIns. It is considered a sign of caring and friendship to encourage someone to talk to you about their SpIn — whether or not you actually share their interest — because nothing makes an autistic person happier than discussing, learning about, or sharing about, their SpIn.
Listening to the monotropic people in your life infodump about their SpIns is a love language.
Here, infodumping is not a deficit to be corrected. It is connection. It is care. It is the whole point.
Most weeks, the mic is simply open. You bring whatever’s living in your head right now — a special interest, a hyperfixation, a thing you made, a rabbit hole you’ve been down — and you share it, as much or as little of it as you want. Some weeks, a curator anchors the session in a word from the Stimpunks Glossary with a video to open it up. Either way, the open mic is still where the session lands.

What to Expect
Infodumplings is cozy, low-pressure, and community-authored. Every session is a little different because every curator brings their own muchness to it.
You can expect:
- An open mic and show-and-tell space — the heart of every session
- Room to bring a special interest, a hyperfixation, a work in progress, a rabbit hole, or something you saw and thought of us
- No pressure to fill the whole hour — 5 to 10 minutes is plenty if that’s all you’ve got
- Some weeks, a curator-led session anchored in a glossary word, with a video or two to watch together
- A scheduled bodymind break — no explanation needed, no pressure to return on camera
- Sparklies in the dark ✨
You can come as you are. Comfortable clothing, safe foods, stimming, lurking — all welcome.
Session Formats
Infodumplings runs two formats. Most weeks are open mic and show-and-tell; some weeks a curator runs a glossary deep-dive instead. Either way, sessions run approximately one hour with cozy overflow after.

✨ Open Mic & Show-and-Tell
This is the heart of Infodumplings. Anyone who wants to briefly share a special interest, hyperfixation, rabbit hole, or work in progress is invited to take the mic — for as long or as short as you like.
You don’t have to fill the whole hour. Five or ten minutes is plenty if that’s all you’ve got. Bring one fact. Bring a half-finished thing. Bring the pocket dump, the spreadsheet, the otter cam. No expertise required. No polished presentation. Just your muchness, offered to people who want to receive it.
Examples of things people have brought
Past sessions have infodumped on:
- Libraries, reading, and the books that changed us
- Cosmology, star stuff, and the physics of belonging
- The personal systems that get us through the day — the alarm labels, the one drawer, the spreadsheet nobody else can parse
- Kintsugi and repairing broken things with gold
- Spoon theory and counting spoons
- Everyday carry — what’s in your pockets and your bag, and why
- Interstitial and junk journaling
- Penguin pebbling and the small things we give each other
- Farming, food systems, and mutual aid
- Troll art, upcycling, and building giants from what got thrown away
- Hot metal typesetting and the machinery behind the printed word
- Otters, rest, and how animals do it without apology
- Queer and neurodivergent Pride
- Works in progress — the deck of cards, the mod, the draft with the seams still showing

Glossary Deep-Dive Sessions (Optional)
Some weeks, a curator anchors the session in a word from the Stimpunks Glossary — our living, community-rooted dictionary of neurodivergent and disability language. They pick a word that’s been living in their head, find a video or two that opens it up, and bring it to the group. The open mic still follows.
This is one way to curate a session, not the only way.

- Online — attend from wherever you’re most comfortable
- Camera optional — come on camera or don’t, no pressure either way
- Bodymind break built in — a scheduled 5-minute break every session
