This lists some of the hotkeys and applications that constitute my core productivity flow on macOS.
My workflow is very plain text and Markdown heavy.
I’m a text and information worker, and these are some of my tools.
Legend:
Hyper – Superkey maps my Caps Lock key to Cmd+Ctl+Opt+Shift. This serves as my Hyper key.
Meh – Superkey maps my right Option key to Ctl+Opt+Shift. This is called a Meh key.
<KM> – This indicates the keybinding is handled by Keyboard Maestro, a favorite workflow automation tool.
<SK> – This indicates the keybinding is handled by Superkey
Meh (⌃⌥⇧) and Hyper (⌃⌥⇧⌘) are aliases for modifier combinations that are so awkard to hold that almost no application uses them, making them great candidates for global hotkeys.
