How to turn on Voice Control

Requires macOS Catalina 10.15 or later

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences).
  2. Click Accessibility.
  3. In Accessibility settings, click Voice Control. 
  4. Turn on Voice Control. If you’re turning on Voice Control for the first time, your Mac might complete a one-time download from Apple.*

When Voice Control is enabled, you see an onscreen microphone representing the mic selected in Voice Control preferences.
