A promotional graphic on a pale pink background. In the upper left, a circular green logo with playful hand-drawn lettering reads "Lilypad Library," decorated with pink flower accents. To the right, a power wheelchair in white and black is illustrated in a detailed, semi-realistic style. The chair is equipped with multiple accessories: a rainbow umbrella mounted above (its panels spanning yellow, pink, red, purple, blue, and teal), a small electric fan, a joystick controller with pink accents, a cup holder, side pouches, and a pink footrest. Large serif text in dark charcoal on the left side of the image reads "MEET OUR FISCAL SPONSOR – STIMPUNKS" in three stacked lines. At the bottom center, smaller italic text reads: "Stimpunks" – a combination of "stimming" and "punks", a resistance to normalization. A pink arrow pointing right appears in the lower right corner.

We Are Fiscal Sponsors of Lilypad Library

Lilypad Library is a children’s show built on a simple premise: neurodivergent kids deserve to see themselves in stories written by people who actually know what that’s like.

Creator Kiersten Case draws from lived experience. The show’s characters are written by and with neurodivergent people — that’s the standard. Nothing About Us Without Us (NAUWU). Stimpunks is proud to serve as their fiscal sponsor.

We got a really nice shout out from the Lilypad Library team. Check out this slideshow for an introduction to our collaboration together.

The Stimpunks Design Method

Lilypad Library is integrating our ARLES design method into the format and arc of the show.

A high-contrast black poster with yellow and white text titled “The Stimpunks Design Method: A Field Guide for Neurodivergent Design.” Five stacked boxes list key questions: Attention—How does this mind work? Relational (including regulation)—How do people connect and regulate? Lived Experience—What is actually happening? Environment—What conditions are shaping this? Systems—What structures must change? Beneath them, a bold statement reads, “If it’s not working, it’s not the person. It’s the environment, the relationships, or the system.” At the bottom, arrows form a loop connecting Attention, Relational, Lived Experience, Environment, and Systems, followed by “Stimpunks.org.” Designing a world where different minds are expected.

We’re excited to collaborate with Ms. Kiersten and the team.
